I must've skid twelve feet in the slush and snow before my head bumped itself onto someone else's back tire. I couldn't move and with my head propped up, I kept having this fear that the car was gonna back up, not knowing I was there, and squash my head. If I live through this, I thought, I'll be able to tell Vietnam vets to go to hell.
